Born in 1993 in Gallarate (Varese), Lorenzo Bovitutti graduated with top honors—full marks, distinction, and special mention—under the guidance of Roberto Plano at the Conservatory of Alessandria in 2016. From 2018 to 2020, he was an Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels, where he studied with Louis Lortie. He continued his advanced training at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva with Cédric Pescia, and at the Conservatory of Bari with Pasquale Iannone, with whom he currently studies at the Accademia del Ridotto in Pavia. He is presently enrolled at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, where he is pursuing a Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy with Roberto Plano, to be completed in June 2025.

Bovitutti has performed extensively throughout Italy, as well as in Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Lithuania, Spain, and Switzerland. He has appeared as soloist in concertos by Bach (No. 5), Mozart (K.414, K.595), Beethoven (Nos. 1 and 5 “Emperor”), Finzi (Eclogue), and Gershwin (Rhapsody in Blue), collaborating with ensembles such as the Orchestra Sinfonica “Coccia” of Novara, Pro Musica Orchestra, Young Belgian Strings, Orchestra Filarmonica Europea, LacMus Ensemble, Musikademia Ensemble, Eine Kleine Ensemble, and Placard Wind Quintet.

He is currently on the faculty of the European Academy “Villa Bossi” on Lake Varese, where he teaches a course in advanced performance, and he is regularly invited to give masterclasses for institutions and festivals including the Festival di San Biagio (Perugia) and the “Giulio Rospigliosi” Association (Lucca).

Bovitutti is President of the cultural association Pura Musica ETS, and serves as Artistic Director for Suoni della Val Cavargna – International Music Festival and Masterclasses and Donatori di Musica Gallarate.
